Our love of walking and soaking up the glories of nature led us to choose our location, a picturesque village in the Central forest area, just two hours from the capital Sofia, just a bit more to the coast and only four hours from Istanbul or the Greek coast.

This is a fantastic location for those looking for the freedom of a country with a small population enjoying plenty of wild space. Bulgaria's scenery will amaze, ranging from the steep alpine Rhodopi mountains bordering Greece, through the Thracian plain rich in history and agriculture, on through the central forest (Sredna Gora) with its gentle wooded hills and mountains, leading through the Valley of the Roses to the proud and monstrous ancient Stara Planina (Old Mountains) reaching heights above two thousand metres, and then down to one of Europe's most important rivers, the Danube, which runs to the Black sea with its coastline well loved by tourists from all points of the compass, yet still having locally loved unspoiled beaches on the way to the southern border with Turkey - all of this so abundant with wildlife and plants that it is sometimes difficult to believe.
